Tea Party

What it is

A tea party for you and your friends, from two (2) to seven (7) persons, eating various treats gathered from about the New Market Village or from the Gypsy's own pantry with lots of organic tea to enjoy and when finished, have your tea leaves read by Baba Anjali. A fun interactive time to enjoy a cozy atmosphere and experience a bit of the life few ever get to see.
A reservation is required, especially if there are special requirements, and of course we want to devote our full attention to the preparations. You can take a chance that there is an opening later in the day and stop by the booth early in the morning to reserve your Tea Party but we'd not be able to accommodate any dietary requirements then.
The cost is $35.00 per person which includes a variety of foods and tea. For those that prefer Turkish coffee, that can be made available. Depending on the number of persons, and how much fun we are having the festivities can take an hour to 2 hours. Each person will receive a reading of their tea leaves or coffee.  Please note that a single tea leaf reading normally costs $25.00.
Please call 832-349-1882 if you wish to reserve a tea party. If you have dietary requirements, please let us know at least 72 hours ahead of time. Spots are booking up fast!

What you can do
We are only ever limited by our imagination, let us help you imagine great things!
Whether you have a group of intrepid D and D aficionados that you wish to treat with a last meal before sending them out on their Quest through the Festival or pop "THE" question in a fun and novel way, we can help you with your plans. We would be honored to be the ones to set the scene!
Celebrate an anniversary or birthday, visit us before you tie the knot and share a gypsy blessing. We love to play with children, give them a party to remember with the Gypsies for High Tea.
It really is up to you, and we're happy to work with you. It is possible to have a custom cake done with a minimum two week notice for your prince or princess (call for prices). Also, if there are dietary requirements we would need advanced notice to provide the right healthy choices. We strive to acquire only the safest foods and tidbits (organic if possible). Nothing but the best for the guests at our table!

The story we tell

The tales of High Tea have reached the ears of  the Elder of the Blue Moon Gypsies and soon visions of a grand table with delectable treats set upon fine china, damask table cloths and pots of tea fill the Gypsy's head. Like any ambitious leader desiring the very best for their family she has sent the clan out from camp in the German Quarter of the New Village Market; their mission, to acquire all 'ideas' that they could from Her Majesty's pantry so that they might better emulate the fine fete, with out getting caught of course. And if they should happen to find any thing of value along their return to camp, well, nothing but the finest for the Gypsies!
As is their way, in order to show their gratitude for their good fortune, they gladly offer hospitality to those that would come, sit and eat with the Gypsies, and as a token to each their tea leaves are read at the end of the meal.

To good fortunes! Baksheesh!
